Dr Evelyn Vingilis

Dr Evelyn Vingilis is Director of the Population and Community Health Unit and Professor Emeritus and Adjunct Research Professor with the Departments of Family Medicine and Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, Western University, London, Ontario. Her two main research programs are injury prevention and control and mental health and substance use, with a particular focus on at-risk youth.

She has published over 250 papers. In 2010, she received the Widmark Award from the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety for “outstanding, sustained, and meritorious contributions”. 2018, she received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Canadian Association of Road Safety Professionals.
